Hearing Aids
Introducing the ABC to Better Hearing:
A = Appropriate technology, B = Budget, C = Circumstances
Choosing a hearing aid package is like choosing a travel experience:
The destination—better hearing—is the same, but the journey can vary. A basic package might be like a standard plane ticket: it gets you there reliably, with essential support. A mid-level package is more like flying economy with added perks—extra comfort, flexibility, and enhanced service. A premium package? That’s your first-class experience: top-tier technology, ongoing personalised care, and the smoothest ride possible.
Chellaston Hearing Services offers a competitive pricing structure that includes Four different care packages with unique benefits. We work with you to establish the lifestyle- and hearing needs of you and those surrounding you. Each prescription is made considering a range of factors that will ensure we ‘get it right’ for you.

Different styles to suit you
The elephant in the room during this conversation is the stigma surrounding the general public- and media’s outdated perception about what hearing aids look like. Chellaston Hearing Services is an independent provider, which means we can offer you a range of the latest hearing aid options from a range of hearing aid manufacturers – whether your main focus is discretion, comfort, modern styles or intelligent technology.

Connectivity
Hearing aids have tiny computers in them, as well as wireless antennae and rechargeable battery options. Connectivity means that you can connect with your hearing aids to Bluetooth devices. Your hearing aid will enable you to directly stream audio – whether that is music, your favourite show on Netflix and even handsfree phone calls! The Bluetooth connection also pairs with smartphone apps meaning you can control your hearing aid(s) from your phone as well as have them remotely fine-tuned over the internet.
Connectivity also allows for the use of ‘wireless accessories’ with your hearing aids. There may be times whilst listening to music or the TV when you would like to make things even easier. That’s where wireless accessories for the TV or other Bluetooth devices can make a big difference, as the sound is streamed directly to your hearing aids so it sounds like the television is inside your ears!
Rechargeability
Rechargeability not only makes hearing aids modern gadgets, but enables many hearing aid wearers to go without worry during a day after recharging the hearing aids overnight.
There are a variety of chargers available to suite your needs. Some hearing aid chargers can even hold charge themselves, so that the hearing aid wearer can be truly ‘on-the-go’ for days on end. Others, perform ‘dry-and-clean’ functions to keep your hearing aids hygienic. There are even wireless QI charging options available for those who may need a quick charge whilst having refreshments at coffee shops or airports. Plus, rechargeable hearing aids are great for individuals with visual or dexterity difficulties and is even safe to use for children.
You ask for modern, convenient, robust and kind to the environment? Rechargeable is a good option!

Hearing Aid Prescription
The hearing aid fittings at Chellaston Hearing Service are guided by objective and subjective measurements to ensure precise prescriptions and optimal programming. Some of these tests may be completed during your initial assessments, while others may be carried out at or after the fitting appointment to evaluate the effectiveness of your hearing aid settings. These objective and subjective measurements are complimented with subjective measurements and feedback.
On a more practical side, you will be shown how to use your hearing aids and take care of them. You will also be given some information on what you can expect when hearing via your hearing aids and some tips on how to get used to them.
It’s important to remember that a hearing aid fitting is not a one-time event—it’s an ongoing process. We’re committed to working with you beyond the fitting appointment to continually optimise your hearing experience and ensure your hearing aids deliver the best possible outcomes.
