Should hearing protection be made a legal necessity?

Initiatives such as the WHO's most recent Make Listening Safe campaign have their regional counterparts worldwide, including new tools such as a global standard for safe listening in video games and e-sports. But these initiatives to educate young people and the public on safe listening habits are not considered by everyone to be enough. There is debate about where the onus lies when there will be known exposure to sounds upwards of 85 dB that could cause hearing loss and/or tinnitus. For now, enjoy the sounds that you love in a safe way. There are many different types of hearing protection that will allow you to do so.
